Sitterly Terms of Service
Last updated: September 22, 2026
1. About the Platform
Sitterly provides software that independent pet care businesses use to manage scheduling, client communication, payments, staff, and related operations. Sitterly is the software platform, not the pet care provider.
2. Pet Care Businesses and Services
Each pet care business using Sitterly is independently responsible for the services it offers, its prices and cancellation policies, accepting or declining bookings, its employees or contractors, and the safety and quality of its services. Additional terms from that business may apply to clients and sitters.
3. Your Subscription and Fees
Sitterly is a paid subscription for pet care businesses. Here is how it works.
- A new account starts with a 30 day free trial. You do not need a credit card to start.
- When the trial ends, you pay the monthly price on the pricing page, plus the sitter charge shown there for each sitter who completes client work in a billing period. Sitter charges are added to the invoice after that period ends.
- Business Texting is optional, at the price on the pricing page. It includes 500 outgoing texts each billing period, where a long text counts as more than one. Extra outgoing texts are charged per text up to the limit you choose. We may restrict unusual automated or abusive incoming texts after telling you.
- AI help is included, with a number of AI actions each billing period shown on the pricing page. AI actions above your included amount are charged only when an account owner buys more. Bought actions do not expire.
- You can cancel at any time. You keep access through the period you already paid for. Sitter charges, extra texts and AI actions already bought are still due on your final invoice.
- There are no hidden fees. The price you see on the pricing page is the price you pay.
- Card processing fees are charged by the payment processor, under its own terms and rates. They are separate from your subscription.
- Each pet care business sets its own service prices. Sitterly does not add a fee to what a client pays that business.
For 12 months after you start paying, your prices do not change. After that, we give at least 60 days notice before a standard price change applies to your account.
4. Accounts and Authorized Access
- Provide accurate information and keep account credentials secure.
- Use the platform only for lawful, authorized business or personal purposes.
- Do not access another organization's data or attempt to bypass security controls.
- Notify the applicable pet care business or Sitterly promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
5. Bookings, Payments, and Integrations
Booking and payment features help pet care businesses and their clients transact with one another. The applicable pet care business, not Sitterly, sets service prices, confirms bookings, establishes refund or cancellation terms, and fulfills pet care services. Payment, calendar, messaging, map, and other features may rely on third party providers with their own terms.
6. Communications
Businesses may use Sitterly to send service related email and text messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to an applicable text message thread to opt out and HELP for assistance. Opting out may limit automated booking updates, but does not prevent communications required to provide a requested service or respond to a user.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use Sitterly to:
- violate law, third party rights, or messaging and payment provider rules;
- send deceptive, abusive, harassing, or unauthorized communications;
- upload malicious code or interfere with platform availability;
- scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse data except where law expressly permits it; or
- impersonate Sitterly, a pet care business, a sitter, or another user.
8. Artificial Intelligence
Sitterly uses artificial intelligence, called AI, in a few features. AI can turn a sitter's notes into a visit report, write a short recap of a pet's day, suggest which sitter fits a booking, and add a sentence of commentary to a revenue report. A person reviews and can edit what AI writes before it is sent.
An account owner can turn AI features off on the AI Settings page. When an AI feature processes information from your account, the Sitterly Privacy Policy covers that information and names the AI provider we use.
9. Availability and Account Action
We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue platform features and may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, businesses, providers, or the platform. Pet care businesses control access for users participating in their organization, subject to applicable law and their agreement with Sitterly.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Sitterly Privacy Policy. A pet care business may also provide its own privacy notice for data it controls.
11. Limitation of Liability
Sitterly is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that the platform will always be available, that it will be free of errors, or that it will meet every need. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sitterly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost bookings, or lost data.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the total liability of Sitterly for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid to Sitterly in the 12 months before the claim. Pet care services are provided by the pet care business, not by Sitterly, so claims about those services belong with that business. Some states do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Dispute Resolution
Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email support@sitterlysoftware.com and describe what happened and what you would like us to do. We will try to resolve it with you within 30 days. Most problems end here.
If we cannot resolve it that way, either of us may take the dispute to court. Nothing in these terms stops you from bringing a claim in small claims court, and nothing stops either of us from asking a court to stop misuse of the platform right away.
13. Governing Law
Sitterly is operated from the United States, and these terms are governed by United States law and by the law of the state where Sitterly is registered, without regard to conflict of law rules. We will name the operating company and that state on this page, and change the date at the top, as soon as the registration is complete.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If a change affects your rights in an important way, we will tell account owners by email or in the product before it takes effect. Using Sitterly after a change means you accept the updated terms.
